...This is the final Morning forecast
for the 2008 spring frost season...
The last forecast of the season will be issued this evening.
DISCUSSION: Some wind held temperatures up in the 40s last night,
but isolated locations registered temperatures in the upper 30s.
Southerly air flow aloft is bringing clouds northward from California this
morning. This will lead to some showers developing over the mountains
later today and spreading into the valleys this evening or tonight. An
isolated thunderstorm is possible as well. Temperatures tonight should
be much warmer as a result.
The upper level weather system offshore will move inland on Sunday and move
east of us by Monday morning. Showers may continue Sunday in the Okanogan
and the Cascades then dry weather is expected through Monday. Another
weather system will move in rapidly on Monday night bringing some light rain
to the valleys on Tuesday. The further outlook indicates a continuation
of rapidly moving weather systems from the Pacific moving inland through
the remainder of the coming week. Not much rain is seen from most of
these, but cool temperatures will continue even beyond next weekend. The
air mass will continue to be cool enough at night for some readings in the
upper 30s in colder spots when wind and clouds are absent.
